Officers and Board
Four officers, six board members and the immediate past president comprise the Board of Directors. The Board is the sole governing body of the club. It is guided by the Rotary Standard Constitution and the By-laws passed by the board.
Responsibilities:
The Board meets the first Monday of each month at the time and place specified by the President. The board may receive recommendations for changes to the by-laws from the membership. The board is the sole enactor of by-laws. The Board has the responsibility to follow the by-laws and Standard Constitution. The constitution provides a procedure for redress if a member or members feel the board is not acting appropriately.
Officers:
The officers are elected for one year terms at the first meeting of the month of December. The officers are President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer. They take office on the following July 1. The vice-president is also the President-Elect for the year following. The President-Elect must agree to attend the Presidents-Elect Training Seminar held the spring before taking office. The club pays the PETS fee and room, the president-elect pays all other costs.
