Attendance
Rotary International requires that all members not only pay their dues, but attend a minimum of 50% of their club's meetings. If one anticipates missing a meeting, has missed a meeting, or wishes to attend another club, one can "make-up" the meeting by attending another club. The attending another club does not count if it is more or less than two weeks from the date of the missed meeting. One cannot "store" "make-ups". A Rotarian in good standing can attend any other Rotary meeting in the world. Usually one presents one's membership card as verification and the visited club gives a post card that carries certification of attendance signed by the club secretary. The visiting member usually mails the certification of attendance while in the community visited to the member's club secretary. Some members are always prepared to makeup by carrying a few stamps and pre-addressed labels in their wallet or purse to be affixed to the makeup card.
